Duties
- Provides direct services to the public: registers patrons,
charges/discharges materials, processes overdue/ reserves,
interlibrary loans/reserves, shelves library materials, prepares
displays, programs activities, answers reference questions.
- Provides technical services support in a variety of functions:
basic/copy cataloging, ordering/receiving/processing and
de-acquisitioning of library materials.
- Assists in maintaining accountability records and in performing
shelf inventories.
- Performs simple maintenance on the library's automated
systems.
- Incumbent may perform physical exertion such as long periods of
standing, bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching,
pushing of loaded trucks; and recurring lifting of heavy items such
as boxes of books or journals.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
1. One year of specialized experience at the next lower grade.
2. Two years of education above high school.
3. A combination of specialized experience and education that
equates to 100% of the qualification requirements.
Highly Qualification Preferred Applicant:
1. Must possess more than one year of library work experience.

- This is a pay-banded position.
- Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure
and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When
authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the
basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the
scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8
hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25%
of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of
the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of
8 hours per Sunday).
- Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10%
basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between
