Posted Date 4 months ago (3/23/2022 11:43 PM) Job ID 2022-2983 Position Type Full-Time Category Corporate OverviewThis person is responsible for the preparation of financial reports, schedules, statements, and other financial data necessary to meet requirements of management and third parties such as lenders and auditors. They will perform monthly consolidations of domestic and foreign subsidiaries, provide accounting advice through technical accounting research and analysis to ensure proper application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles ("GAAP") and International Financial Reporting Standards ("IFRS"), and ensures we meet applicable disclosure requirements. This person will also participate in the integration of new businesses into the Company's accounting and financial reporting process.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:

  • Research accounting standards and perform analysis to ensure proper application of GAAP and IFRS to non-recurring, complex or new transactions and the development of required disclosures
  • Complete monthly close tasks; prepare recurring and ad hoc reports and analysis; and review work of consultants and junior staff
  • Assist in the integration of new businesses and operations, including development and ongoing execution of data transmission process from source systems, communication and review of internal control procedures over financial close and reporting process, identification of intercompany transactions, and revision of consolidated financials and footnotes for new accounting and disclosure requirements
  • Partner with divisional accounting teams to ensure that financial results are accurate and submitted timely and follows global internal control policies over the financial close process. Identify, document, and record elimination, consolidation, and U.S. GAAP adjustment journal entries
  • Perform project analysis, develop and implement procedures to improve effectiveness and efficiency as assigned
  • Assist in completing external and internal audits and special projectsQualificationsRequirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
    • Four years of accounting experience, of which at least two years should be in public accounting
    • Diversified and industry experience in retail, manufacturing and automotive and/or work experience with a big-4 national CPA firm preferred
    • Prior experience auditing consolidated financial statements (including foreign subsidiaries with noncontrolling shareholders), purchase accounting, and business combination integrations
    • Prefer experience in Oracle Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud Service ("FCCS") or Hyperion Financial Management ("HFM")
    • Certified Public Accountant ("CPA") license
    • Advanced level Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Technical accounting knowledge (GAAP) and research skills
    • Ability to effectively document accounting policies, accounting analysis, and controls
    • Ability to understand audit risks and procedures to effectively communicate with external auditors and respond to their requests
    • Ability to build and maintains effective relationships to share information, establish partnerships, and leverage expertise to accomplish goals. Must be able to establish her or himself as a confident business partner
    • Ability to reach out to peers and cooperates with supervisors to establish an overall collaborative working relationship
    • Ability to promote efforts aimed at improving current business processes through a culture that fosters continuous improvement and innovation. Identifies and implements improvements and innovations that increase efficiency and enhance work quality
    • Ability to gather a comprehensive understanding of the question or issue at hand. Gathers the relevant information needed to make knowledgeable recommendations
    • Ability to structure and process qualitative or quantitative data and draw insightful conclusions from it
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Communicates financial and non-financial information so that it is understood by individuals with diverse capabilities and interests. Identifies and uses the most appropriate communication channel for the message and audience
    • Comfortable with and works effectively in situations where there is a lack of information and clear outcomes. Ability to develop sound recommendations and confidently support them.
