Summary Perform and document specialized accounting activities in
accordance with GAAP and established policies and procedures, and
industry standards. Analyze new business initiatives or changes and
modify existing accounting models to ensure proper accounting
treatment. Represent revenue accounting and support new
initiatives. Coordinate business process changes, process
improvements, testing and impacts to internal controls across
revenue accounting teams and related systems. Key
Responsibilities
- Perform and document specialized accounting activities in
accordance with GAAP and established policies and procedures, and
industry standards
- Analyze new business initiatives or changes and modify existing
accounting models to ensure proper accounting treatment
- Represent revenue accounting and support new initiatives.
Coordinate business process changes, process improvements, testing
and impacts to internal controls across revenue accounting teams
and related systems
- Gather information to determine the accounting and procedural
impact of industry and regulatory mandates
- Review and coordinate with outsourced vendor to ensure
information in key master tables in revenue accounting systems are
correct and necessary changes are made timely
- Provide financial reporting and accounting analysis
- Ensure establishment and documentation of proper internal
controls; Identify and implement process improvements and
controls
- Support audits of financial and regulatory reporting by the
Corporate Audit team, external auditors, and government
agencies
- Oversee and manage outsourced vendor in the day-to-day
execution of Revenue Accounting activities to ensure accuracy and
timeliness of deliverables, and monitor against contractual SLAs
and KPIs
- Perform and review reconciliations and journal entries
- Train and support of outsourced (offshore) vendor on new
business processes
- Other duties as assigned
- 5 years of professional work experience in accounting
- Requires understanding of generally accepted accounting
principles and accounting processes
- Strong collaboration, interpersonal, and communication
skills
- Proficient in MS Office (Word and Excel)
- Ability to work within strict deadlines**Hawaiian Airlines is

- CPA
- 3 or more years of internal or financial audit experience
- Experience with SOX requirements and best practices
