(https://ryder.com/job-applicant-privacy-policy)_You are the driving force behind our company.Start your career with Ryder today!SummaryThe Financial Analyst will provide financial and analytical support to Senior Financial Management, Field Operations Managers, and Operations Managers.REMOTE WORK FROM HOMEEssential FunctionsMonth-End Closing: To include journal entries as necessary to re-class revenue / expenses; explanations of variances vs. forecast / annual plan; general ledger research to ensure all possible billing opportunities are capturedOperational Initiatives: Work closely with Director of Operations (DOO), Director of Sales (DOS) and Director of Rental (DOR) to identify and recommend opportunities for cost/productivity improvementsFinancial Planning & Analysis: To include forecasting, business planning and branch performance analysisTraining: Provide financial training to Business Unit staff, including policies, procedures and financial toolsSarbanes-Oxley Compliance: Branch audits, as needed, to ensure Sarbanes-Oxley complianceCorporate: Act as Business Unit liaison with Ryder's Shared Services Center and Ryder's Corporate Accounting groupAdditional ResponsibilitiesPerforms other duties as assignedFollow up with tracking / reporting / further recommendationsSkills and AbilitiesAbility to effectively communicate with all levels of managementMust be skillful at problem solving, self motivated and able to prioritize work loadAbility to think and plan in a proactive and innovative manner Demonstrated problem-solving abilitiesMotivated self-starter, able to work with minimal guidance when necessaryStrong interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to communicate complex financial / operational information to various levels to the organization, from Vice Presidents to shop Service ManagersQualificationsBachelor's degree required in business administration, finance, accounting or related fieldOne (1) to Three (3) years or more in Finance, Accounting or OperationsKnowledge of Microsoft Excel (advanced level)Travel: 10-20%Applicants from California, Colorado, Connecticut, New York City & Washington:Salary is determined based on internal equity; internal salary ranges; marketcertifications, etc.The salary for this position ranges from $58K to $75K.Ryder offers comprehensive health and welfare benefits, to include medical,prescription, dental, vision, life insurance and disability insurance options, as well as paid time off for vacation, illness, bereavement, family and parental leave, and a tax advantaged 401(k) retirement savings plan.Ryder is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug Free workplace.
