Job Description Job Description Accounts Payable Accountant 22197 Bishop & Company is seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant for a healthcare institution in Honolulu. This role is responsible for accurately and timely processing vendor invoices, payments, and related reconciliations, while maintaining compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Key Responsibilities Review, verify, and process vendor invoices for accuracy and proper approvals Perform 2-way and 3-way invoice matching Enter invoices into the accounting system in a timely and accurate manner Prepare and process check runs, ACH, and wire payments Ensure timely payment of all vendor obligations Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding invoice issues Assist with month-end close and account reconciliations related to accounts payable Maintain organized and accurate AP records and documentation Support audits and ensure compliance with internal controls Assist with 1099 preparation and reporting as needed and perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 2 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience (adjustable based on level) Strong attention to detail and accuracy Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel Knowledge of GAAP preferred Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Additional Information: Type: Temporary for 3 months with possible extension Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Location: Honolulu, HI 96813 Parking: not provided Pay: $28-$30/hr DOE Benefits: Bishop & Company offers its temporary and contract employees attractive, competitive benefits, including paid holidays, paid vacation, health insurance, and matching 401k plan for all those who qualify!
