Job Description Summary You will serve as an ELECTRONICS
MECHANIC SUPERVISOR I in the ELECTRONICS SHOP, NUCLEAR OR
NON-NUCLEAR SECTION, PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT of DEPARTMENT
OF THE NAVY. Duties Help \n You will supervise the repair, removal,
field changes, modifications, reinstallation, and checkout of
systems and equipment assigned to Nuclear or Non-Nuclear Sections
onboard submarines or surface crafts. \n You will assign tasks,
tools, equipment and materials to workers. \n You will interpret
plans and instructions for the work group. \n You will keep all
work operations under close observation and control. \n You will
resolve work problems and take action to overcome bottlenecks,
equipment breakdowns, material shortages, and other delays,
requesting special permission, decisions, or assistance from higher
levels of authority. \n You will plan the sequence of tasks,
layouts, work assignments and any special work methods to be
utilized. \n \n Requirements Help Conditions of employment \n Must

Service. \n You will be required to successfully complete a
pre-appointment physical examination. \n You will be required to
obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance
prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the
required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job
offer or removal. \n Successful completion of a pre-employment drug
test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of
employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test
appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random
testing. \n You will be required to wear personal protective
equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles,
respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the
work shift. \n Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful
physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat,
ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be
required to participate in medical surveillance programs. \n This
position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and
OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able
to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods
of time. \n Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened
personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will
be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct
at 5 CFR 2635.101. \n This position may require exposure to high
noise levels. \n This position may be subject to work an uncommon
tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission
requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual
duty hours may be required. \n This position my require you to work
in small and/or confined spaces. \n This position requires that the
selectee be willing and able to climb ladders and scaffolding. \n

is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show
through experience and training that you possess the quality level
of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the
position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification
requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily
the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the
basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or
competencies in the job elements and screen out listed below. This
job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine

location and is subject to change with the annual local wage
