Position Overview The Senior Estimator will play a critical role in the preconstruction phase of projects by providing accurate cost estimates for various construction projects. This position requires a proficient understanding of construction processes, materials, and techniques, with a focus on commercial, multifamily, retail, healthcare, hospitality, institutional, and restaurant sectors. The Senior Estimator will collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure that estimates align with project budgets and timelines. Key Responsibilities - Prepare detailed cost estimates for various construction projects including commercial, multifamily, retail, healthcare, hospitality, institutional, and restaurants. - Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to develop accurate estimates. - Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimates. - Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather data for accurate estimating. - Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes and ensure cost efficiency. - Participate in bid reviews and presentations, explaining estimate methodologies and cost breakdowns to stakeholders. - Monitor and update cost databases and estimating software to ensure accuracy and efficiency in future projects. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating for construction projects, with a focus on commercial and multifamily sectors. - Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards. - Proficiency in estimating software and tools, such as Sage, Bluebeam, or similar applications. - Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail in cost estimation processes. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients. - For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
