Job Description Job Description Bishop & Company is seeking candidates for a Patient Account Representative opportunity with a healthcare organization in Halawa, HI. Medical Billing Representative Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing Representative to support our billing operations. This role is responsible for a variety of functions, including medical billing and re-billing, payment processing, collections on outstanding accounts, records retention, handling medical records requests, and providing general administrative support. Key Responsibilities: The primary duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Respond to billing inquiries from patients, clients, and insurance carriers Manage incoming calls and provide excellent customer service Update accounts and rebill claims, statements, or invoices Process credit card payments and document account activity Contact payors or patients for additional information Reconcile billing and resolve claim discrepancies Review denials, resubmit claims, and verify insurance eligibility Qualifications: Required: High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 6 months experience in customer service or public contact At least 6 months of medical billing or collections experience, or successful completion of Billing Externship Preferred: Experience submitting and/or processing medical insurance claims Familiarity with alphanumeric data entry Previous experience with Xifin billing software Additional Information: Temp to hire, Full time, on-site, M-F 8:30am - 5:00pm Location: Halawa, HI Parking: Street parking Pay: $20.00/hr Benefits : Bishop & Company offers its temporary and contract employees attractive, competitive benefits, including paid holidays, paid vacation, health insurance, and matching 401k plan for all those who qualify Bishop & Company provides recruiting and placement services for client companies and opportunities for job seekers throughout Hawaii, with emphasis on executive search, direct hire, temp to hire, and temporary/contract staffing.
