Job Description:

Plans, develops, implements, maintains and assumes responsibility for training activities of Patient Financial Services staff. Trains, orients, and monitors assigned subordinate personnel in all duties and functions. Develops training materials and tools customizing where appropriate. Maintains, audits, and corrects information on work queues as directed by manager. Prepares, organizes, and conducts regular presentations for Billing, Data Entry, Follow-Up and Collections staff education. Coordinates, plans, and monitors work. Prepares and codes timecards for manager's approval. Monitors schedules in ANSOS. Reviews, analyzes, and validates reports and other information using decision-making skills. Acts as liaison and collaborates with various hospital related departments to maintain current policies and practices.Essential Functions - Trains and orients assigned subordinates and new employees in Billing, Data Entry, Follow-Up and Collections on KPHealthConnect processes and procedures, including all upgrades and incremental deployments.- Collaborates with KPHealthConnect Application Coordinators in current processes for staff education.- Prepares, organizes, and conducts regular education presentations. Assists supervisor in setting departmental standards. Monitors workload accordingly to ensure department functions are carried out.- Reviews, prepares and codes timecards for each pay period for manager's approval.- Maintains, audits, and corrects information of patient computer accounts as directed by manager.- Researches and resolves problems. Recommends changes in methods and/or procedures as appropriate. Maintains procedures. Basic Qualifications: Experience- Minimuum two (2) years of patient access experience in admitting and/or patient registration.- Minimum three (3) years of professional training experience with one year involving training leadership.Education- Bachelor's degree in business administration, adult education or related field OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.- Currentcoursework certification in Epic Systems Corporation Admission, Discharge, and Transfer Application or Emergency Department Application (certification required within one year of hire, attainment validated by Epic Systems Corporation).License, Certification, Registration- N/A. Additional Requirements: - Demonstrated ability to present effectively.- Working knowledge of medical terminology.- Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in customer service, interpersonal relations, oral communication, problem solving, quality management, results orientation, systems thinking, teamwork, written communication, and leadership.- Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in word processing, spreadsheet, database, and mainframe (patient registration) PC applications.Preferred Qualifications: - Post high school coursework in curriculum design, public speaking and psychology or related area; Total Quality Management (TQM) training.
