Hawaii Public Schools, under the Hawaii State Department of Education, seeks a dedicated High School Teacher for Pearl City High School. Prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences. Develop lesson plans and instructional materials, and provide individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student. Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities. Implement technological approaches to subject material. Research new topic areas and maintain up-to-date subject knowledge. Assess and record students' progress and provide grades and feedback. Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school. Participate in department, school, and parent meetings. Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and student needs. Strong understanding of the subject matter Effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to create and deliver engaging lesson plans Proficient in the use of technology for educational purposes Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to manage classroom dynamics and handle disciplinary issues Valid teaching certificate from the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board Relevant subject area endorsement (if applicable)
