The INDOPACOM combatant command theater covers over half the earth's surface and provides unique challenges to our National Defense strategy.   • Maintain information technology (IT) networks and services used by the organization
  • Keep organization up to date with new technology; provide feedback to the organization on potential improvements Site Subject Matter expert on site specific telecommunication equipment (to be learned)
  • Translate business needs to develop solutions from design to technological products
  • Oversee development of projects to ensure that product is delivered on time and to the specifications as well as the development of future component architectures and migration plans
  • Determine technical needs such as hardware, software, scalability and security requirements
  • Coordinate design and integration of overall architecture and parts of proposed systems Define system, technical and application architectures of major areas of development Define system, technical and application architectures of major areas of development
  • Define and enforce appropriate technical standards and procedures
  • Other duties as assignedWhat we are looking for
    • 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience
    • Must have experience with configuration and troubleshoot of network switches, routers, firewalls, hubs, fiber and copper cabling and equipment racks
    • Must have capability to design complex network solutions in uncommon environment settings while meeting all DoD policy and customer requirements
    • Must have understanding of VMware environment to include knowledge of vSphere, Virtual SAN, Horizon View, NSX, vRealize, SRM
    • Must -have working knowledge of System and Application protocols and how to traverse the network (ICMP, SSH, SNMP, SMTP, LANs, WANs)
    • Must be able to obtain/maintain base access credentials
    • Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance -
    • VMware certification preferred
    • Proficiency with CISCO UCS and Hyperflex servers a plusPhysical Requirements May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment.
