Job Summary: As a Virtualization Engineer at Innovatus Technologies, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining virtualized infrastructure solutions using VMware technologies. The successful candidate will have a Top Secret Clearance, ensuring the highest level of security for our clients. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, troubleshooting complex issues, and staying abreast of the latest virtualization trends to enhance our capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Design and Implementation:
  

• Architect, deploy, and manage virtualization solutions based on VMware technologies.
• Develop and implement virtualization strategies to optimize system performance and resource utilization.
• Collaborate with other engineering teams to integrate virtualized environments with existing systems.
• Maintenance and Support:
  
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to virtualization infrastructure.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, updates, and patches to ensure system stability.
  • Provide on-call support for critical incidents and participate in a rotation schedule.
  • Security Compliance:
    
    • Ensure virtualization infrastructure meets and maintains Top Secret Clearance standards.
    • Implement security best practices and conduct regular security assessments.
    • Work closely with security teams to address vulnerabilities and mitigate risks.
    • Documentation:
      
      • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to virtualization architecture, configurations, and procedures.
      • Train and mentor team members on virtualization best practices. Qualifications:
      • Top Secret Clearance or higher is mandatory.
      • Proven experience as a Virtualization Engineer, with a focus on VMware technologies.
      • Strong knowledge of virtualization concepts, including server and desktop virtualization.
      • Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, etc.).
      • Experience with storage and networking technologies in virtualized environments.
      • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
      • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively. Preferred Qualifications:
      • VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification.
      • Experience with other virtualization platforms (e.g., Hyper-V, KVM).
      • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
      • Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
