Job Title: Radiologic Technologist Profession: Diagnostic Imaging Specialty: Radiologic Technologist Duration: Full Time Shift: Varies Hours per Shift: Guaranteed Hours not specified Experience: Minimum of 1 year preferred License: State license as a Radiologic Technologist Certifications: Current BLS certification Must-Have: One (1) year experience in an acute care facility preferred Description: Performs a variety of radiologic procedures. Provides patient care during procedures. Standing, walking, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, and speaking are required. Continuous activities include stooping/bending, reaching above and below shoulder level, and frequent gripping of an object. May need to push/pull usual weight up to 50 pounds of force. Frequent activities include twisting body, lifting usual weight with assistance up to 50 pounds, and carrying up to 40 pounds. Involves reaching at shoulder level, repetitive arm/hand motions, and static gripping for prolonged periods. Occasional activities involve sitting, kneeling, crawling, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, and squatting. Exposed to both inside and outside environmental conditions and cold temperatures due to air conditioning. Subjected to noise/vibration from film processors. Exposed to communicable diseases, body fluids, mechanical/electrical units, chemicals, and radiation. Work environment can be fast-paced and high-stressed due to patient census.
