Job Description:
Cherokee Federal is seeking an experienced NEPA Specialist to
join our dynamic Environmental Health & Safety team. This
specialist role will focus on conducting environmental reviews and
preparing National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documents to
support a variety of projects including but not limited to
construction and engineering. You will play a crucial part in
ensuring that all projects comply with environmental, regulatory,
and Cherokee Federal standards. This position offers a unique
opportunity to impact global operations and contribute to
environmental sustainability and compliance initiatives. Conduct
detailed environmental assessments to ensure compliance with NEPA
and other relevant environmental laws. Prepare NEPA documents,
including Environmental Assessments (EAs) and Environmental Impact
Statements (EISs). Coordinate with federal, state, and local
regulatory agencies to obtain necessary approvals. Collaborate with
project managers and engineering teams to integrate environmental
considerations into project planning and execution. Provide
technical environmental advice to various stakeholders within the
company. Monitor changes in environmental legislation and adjust
company procedures accordingly. Knowledge of NEPA and other
environmental regulations. Experience in environmental impact
assessment and mitigation planning. Strong analytical skills with
attention to detail. Effective communication and interpersonal
skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage
multiple projects. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance 401k Certified Environmental Professional (CEP) is
preferred. Membership in relevant professional organizations such
as the National Association of Environmental Professionals
(NAEP).
