Job Description:
Cherokee Federal, a division of Cherokee Nation Businesses, is
seeking a dedicated Environmental Engineer to join our
forward-thinking Environmental Services team focused on delivering
sustainable solutions across a variety of global projects. In this
role, the Environmental Engineer will utilize their expertise in
engineering and environmental science to develop strategies that
improve environmental outcomes and ensure compliance with relevant
laws. The ideal candidate will be deeply committed to enhancing
environmental performance and motivated by the challenge of
creating healthier ecosystems through innovative engineering
solutions. Design, develop, and implement environmental systems and
processes to reduce the impact of pollution and contamination.
Review and modify environmental engineering plans and
specifications to ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and best
practices. Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate
environmental considerations into broader project objectives.
Conduct environmental impact assessments and audits, and prepare
detailed reports to communicate findings to internal stakeholders
and regulatory bodies. Monitor the effectiveness of environmental
strategies and systems, and make improvements as necessary.
Proficiency in environmental impact assessments and compliance
audits. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent
verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate
effectively on multidisciplinary teams. Familiarity with CAD
software and GIS systems. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance 401k Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
Certification by the American Academy of Environmental Engineers &
Scientists (BCEE) is advantageous.
