Director of Health Center - Health Center Worker Category Full Time ID 1537 Director of Health Center - Health Center Punahou School is seeking a Director of Health Center! Serving a population of approximately 3,570 students, K-12, and the larger community, they will provide excellence in care management across the healthcare continuum. The Director will serve in a leadership, consultative, and collaborative role for health policies and programs and as a critical liaison between faculty, staff, families, trainers, physicians, counselors, health care professionals, and the community. While serving as an advocate for the individual student, the Director of Health Center provides system-level leadership that moves beyond the individual to focus on community health promotion, disease prevention, and health equity. The Director manages and supervises a small nursing staff and is charged with the effective and efficient operation of the health center and health care outposts.--

Work Year: 12 Months
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Schedule may vary based on operational needs.
Minimum Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Education, Nursing, Public Health, and/or Healthcare Administration or a related field from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of supervisory experience in an area of nursing; or combination of education and experience that could likely provide the required knowledge and skills in successfully fulfilling this position.
• Experience in school nursing highly preferred.--
• Superior knowledge of the nursing process relative to pediatrics and community/public health.
• Management of principles and practices; staffing; budgeting; community resources including local health care system; principles of nursing supervision, principles of public health practice.--
• Licensed healthcare professional (e.g. RN, APRN).
• CPR/First Aid Certificate.
• Valid Hawai`i Driver's License and clean abstract.
• Familiarity with healthcare technology, including electronic health records management and case management software.
