Marketing & Communications Manager Regular Full-Time Honolulu, HI, US 30+ days ago Requisition ID: 1088 ---Manage IHS website development and maintenance in line with brand and fundraising needs---Manage video marketing initiatives such as PSAs, organizational overviews, success stories, virtual tours, etc..---Manage library of IHS photo and video assets, manage ongoing photography needs for clients, staff, and events for website and other marketing initiatives---Oversee development and distribution of monthly e-newsletter, including list management and segmenting of newsletter to targeted demographics---Oversee development of all physical donor mailings - including but not limited to bi-annual printed newsletter and print appeals---Actively seek public relations opportunities (interviews, community presentations, etc..) for Executive Director, Community Relations Director, or other key staff---Manage press releases and other communications to bring recognition to corporate and foundation partner efforts---Oversee social media initiatives, ensuring regular presence on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter---Identify and apply for reputation advancing opportunities such as local or national business or staff awards (Nonprofit of the Year, etc..)---Contribute to the planning and execution of live and virtual events to improve relationships with donors, partners, or the communityAdditional Duties---Regularly attend and participate in team meetings, All-staff meetings and strategy sessions---Support teammates as needed with special projects such as large volunteer opportunities, holiday card mailings, donor appreciation calls, and more---Occasional TV or radio appearances---Occasional Neighborhood Board or other Public Relations Event Participation -Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position may oversee a Marketing Coordinator to help execute the initiatives listed above. Will also have supervisory experience over external consultants and/or third party vendors contracted to support marketing work.May also have occasional supervisory responsibility of community volunteers or interns who are providing office or event assistance. The responsibility when assigned, includes ensuring volunteers are working safely, are monitored and supported to have a positive volunteer experience.

  • Teamwork Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
    • Working knowledge of social media platforms, including a scheduler, ad buying, boosting content, embedding video etc.
    • Knowledge of philanthropic messaging / donor communications strategies
    • Strong writing and interpersonal skills; networking ability
    • Able to work well under pressure and manage sensitive or controversial subjects with tact, kindness and professionalism
    • Possess personal qualities of integrity, credibility and commitment to mission
    • Flexible and able to multitask; can work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment Required Education & -Experience
      • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Business, Marketing, Communications or related field
      • A minimum of 3 years of work experience in a Public Relations, Marketing or Communications role
      • Demonstrated experience with website management, branding strategy and communication with the general public, businesses and donors Preferred Education & Experience
        • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Marketing
        • 2+ years of Marketing experience in a Nonprofit setting
