ResponsibilitiesPRODUCT DIRECTOR The Product Director will lead a team that designs and supports valuable technology solutions for internal and external stakeholders. They will innovate our solutions to respond to market needs, determine strategic investments, and find ways to effectively manage costs for mature product lines. The Product Director will be responsible for the health and growth our School-Based Services (SBS) products that help ensure financial sustainability for schools to deliver health-related services to all students. This role will collaborate with diverse stakeholder groups including PCG executive leadership, Functional Areas, Regional Teams, and Engineering Teams to synthesize business requirements, market trends, and PCG initiatives into a unified product vision. This role must excel at building teams that communicate effectively, listen closely, promote transparency, and adhere to the product vision. This position will work closely alongside other functional teams, including Operations, Client Success, Program Integrity, and Business Development.Responsibilities: The Product Director will provide oversight and thought leadership for all School-Based Services product lines and will perform a variety of activities included, but not limited to:Leadership & Oversight Develop an in-depth understanding of PCGs SBS products and how they integrate to solve problems for our clientsDefine and drive the vision for SBS products and translate that into a product roadmapDevelop business plans to support product investment recommendationsSeek opportunities for integrating PCG systems and solutions, including working across PCGs Practice Areas and functional teamsResearch & Analysis Conduct market research to identify urgent client needs, trends and emerging technologiesImplement strategies to include the voice of our clients in product design usability studies, focus groups, feedback sessions, etc.Evaluate product performance and establish success metrics to be shared with internal stakeholdersConduct on-going competitor analysis to determine shifts in the market or partnership opportunitiesMarketing Support Articulate the value proposition of new products, features and enhancementsEvaluate needs in client proposals and RFPs to determine if they fit the product visionAttend client meetings, conferences, forums, and other events to keep the pulse of our clients and competitorsCollaboration & Coordination Effectively convey information to all stakeholders, both internally and externallyCollaborate with Engineering teams to ensure appropriate resource allocation for both current and future needsEngage with other Product Teams within our Education practice area to promote consistency in our processes and identify opportunities for integrationGarner input from our Regional Teams to understand local trendsInterface across teams including Operations, Program Integrity, Client Success to make product decisions and ensure effective developmentTranslate PCG initiatives into a strategy and tactics for the SBS product linesTeam Building Direct and cultivate the next generation of Product ManagersManage a team of 8 14 staffFoster a culture of diverse perspectives and opinionsBuild support around the product vision across all teamsQualificationsThe successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills:

  • Expert communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders
  • Strategic planning including product roadmapping, allocating limited resources, prioritization, and anticipating future market needs
  • Ability to work across functions to build towards the product vision
  • Proven ability to manage and develop staff
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including making swift decisions, effective conflict management, and removing barriers for stakeholders
  • Technology acumen: Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Visio); project planning and task management tools (Asana, JIRA, MS Project, or similar)
  • Passion for solving problems in the Education sectorPreferred Experience:
    • 10+ years of product management, product marketing, brand management, or business analysis experience
    • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
    • 4-5 years of demonstrated success leading teams and working with diverse stakeholder groups
    • Experience with both Waterfall and Agile development methodologies preferred
    • Experience with wireframing tools (Axure RP, Balsamiq, etc.) preferred
    • SaaS experience strongly preferred
    • PMP certification, Product Manager certification, or similar qualification strongly preferred
