Position Summary With general direction from the Managing Director - Safety, Security & Quality Assurance, takes initiative to develop, manage and direct all facets of the Hawaiian Airlines Aviation Security efforts while ensuring compliance with all federal laws and regulations, and meeting corporate goals/objectives. Serve as the TSA Aircraft Operator Security Coordinator (AOSC). Key Responsibilities

  • Ensures company security procedures, programs, and policies are in full compliance with Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Department of Defense (DOD), host country standards, and ensures effectiveness of security programs by regular evaluation and audit
  • Support Emergency Response and Business Continuity vulnerability huddles and EOC
  • Leverage technology for compliance and facilitation including Secure Flight, and other Risk Based programs; Immigration programs such as AQQ and APP; channeling programs for CHRC, passenger and crew APIS
  • Leverage all available data to mitigate negative security vulnerabilities, immigration and law enforcement impacts to the operation. Manage web based security platform and associated functions including the Service Evaluation Program, Station Security Report and FAM monitoring programs
  • Responsible for meeting the security requirements for company Department of Defense CRAF operations
    • Manage continuous improvement of the security culture and standards throughout the organization via the Security Management System (SeMS)
    • Establish companywide standards for access control and credentialing. Develop and oversee the execution of processes to meet agreed upon standards
    • Establish security emergency planning and training procedures

    • Provides strategic direction and leadership for assigned security personnel
    • Maintains positive and professional relationships with the TSA, CBP, federal, state, and local government security agencies
    • Examines and monitors potential security threats and current conditions in major cities around the globe ensuring effective risk assessment and response capability
    • Identifies, provides and maintains the infrastructure necessary to produce safe and secure operations, to include operations and maintenance support facilities, services and equipment appropriate for the area
    • Other duties as assigned by the Managing Director, Safety & Security
    • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and related working experience
    • 10 years hands-on management of airline regulatory security programs with a strong network in the regulatory community and demonstrate successful compliance record
    • 3 years of management experience leading individual employees and multiple, diverse teams with a track record of growing leaders and independent thinkers
    • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
    • Demonstrate effective communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain an airport AOA badge and Secret level security clearance
    • Proficient in Microsoft--- Office Suite
    • Must hold a valid U.S. passport
