Amentum is actively seeking a Deputy Program Manager with
government contract administration experience to support the
program management process for a portfolio of counter-unmanned
aerial system (C-UAS) and other multi-domain awareness research,
development, test and evaluation (RDT&E) projects supporting
the Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology
Directorate (DHS S&T). The successful candidate will drive
project execution in collaboration with DHS HQ and component
staffs, vendors, and other subject matter experts and supporting
contract organizations. This position is telework, located in
vicinity of the National Capitol Region.
The position is telework but must be within the vicinity of
Washington, DC/the National Capital Region.
Essential Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage program activities in multiple disciplines
covering technical and/or non-technical areas.
Perform management level customer interface, including
responsibility for contractual deliverables, development of
responses to the Requests for Quotes, subcontract terms and
conditions, statements of work, purchase requests, and overall task
execution.
Supervise, coach and lead diverse technical and/or non-technical
projects, multi-disciplinary working groups, and integrated product
teams (IPTs).
Develop required documentation in support of customer technical and
programmatic deliverables.
Develop purchase orders and track project contract acquired
property from delivery through final acceptance by government.
Interface with customers to develop detailed staffing requirements,
assignments, and plans to meet customer needs.
Maintain responsibility for the dedication of company resources to
accomplish program milestones and meet cost objectives.
Coordinate the investigation and resolution of operational problems
in conjunction with other stakeholders.
Represent the organization in meetings and conferences as required.
Act as hiring manager and supervisor for Amentum program staff as
directed.
Participate in and support business development and contract
capture activities for core customer and adjacent functional areas
as directed. Other activities as directed.
Minimum Requirement:
Must have an active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US
Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Must be able to pass DHS entry of duty (EOD) requirements to start
and maintain Public Trust suitability status
Reside in vicinity of the National Capital Region
Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline complemented by 8
years' experience or a master's degree and 6 years' experience.
At least 7 years experience with DHS and/or DoD acquisitions, major
systems, or programs.
Experience solving programmatic/process issues with contractor and
government personnel.
Experience with DHS, DoD, or industry for major systems or
programs
Proficiency with developing schedules, risk registers, Work
Breakdown Structures (WBS), dashboards, word-processing,
spreadsheets, Microsoft Project, and integrated software
applications
Up to 15% travel may be required
Preferred Quals:
Active Public Trust designation
Active Top Secret security clearance
Active Program Management Professional certification
Knowledge of DHS, DoD, or other law enforcement C-UAS efforts
during the last five years
Experience with requirements generation, capability development,
integration and field testing for technical projects.
Demonstrated experience working with multiple government,
contractor, subcontractor, and equipment supplier stakeholders to
complete projects in compressed timeframes.
FAA part 107 license
Compensation & Benefits:
Hiring Salary Range: $140,000-$165,000 (Salary to be determined by
the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the
applicant's internal equity and alignment with market data.)
