DescriptionLeidos Engineering has an opportunity for a Project
Manager in Hawaii who will work alongside lead engineers and
account managers supporting electric utility clients. The Project
Manager will be part of an established Project Management Office
within our Power Delivery Solutions division that provides
consulting services to public-owned and investor-owned electric
utilities for comprehensive engineering design of electrical
transmission, substation, and distribution projects nationwide.This
role has remote capabilities, but candidates must be located in the
Hawaiian Islands to be considered. This allows us to best serve
Leidos' regionalized utility customers.Successful candidates will

- Technical Upskilling programsAs a Project Manager, you can
expect to:
- Assist project teams in completing engineering design of
various sized electric infrastructure projects for public-owned and
investor-owned electric utility customers; Experienced/Senior level
candidates will have the opportunity to lead other project managers
and play a role in program/portfolio management
- Be responsible for overall project performance and
reporting
- Manage project costs, schedule and scope, including the
development of recovery plans to stay within approved limits
- Ensure contract compliance
- Drive work products by coordinating and working with
Engineering Leads and Managers to track and execute client
deliverables
- Ensure and document adherence to the quality control
process
- Interface directly with the client and internal management to
solve issues and report progress, costs, schedule adherence and
risks across a program of projects
- Communicate with clients, internal project teams, multiple
engineering disciplines, functional leaders, subcontractors, and
support personnel
- Assist with the preparation of bid documents, development of
cost estimates and responses to Requests For Proposal
- Complete monthly client invoicing, accruals, and accounts
receivable within prescribed time frames
- Assist your team in identifying potential business development
opportunitiesWhat You'll Bring to the Table (Required
Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management,
Business, Finance or a closely related discipline is required
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant Project Management
experience
- Experience with MS Office Software (Word, PowerPoint,
Excel);Ability to demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot
Tables, VLookup, etc) required
- Demonstrated experience managing project financials, proposals,
scopes, and schedules
- Previous Experience working with various contract types
including Fixed Price and Time & Material
- Must have the capability to plan, organize, direct, and track
technical efforts on project tasks
- Must have the capability to understand, plan, monitor and
report project financial performance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Candidates with previous experience in the electric utility
industry and/or consultancy environments will be preferredYou Might
Also Have (Preferred Qualifications):
- PMP Certification is preferred but not required; Ideal
Candidates will have a desire to obtain PMP Certification within
two years
- Excellent organizational skills, problem solving/analytical
skills and the ability to multi-task effectively
- Operational experience in Microsoft PowerBI
- Previous exposure to projects for major US electric
utilities
- Demonstrated success with a team approach to the consulting
business
