Join our ?ohana--and be a part of an exciting team of professionals dedicated to serving our--kama??ina--and introducing our islands to the world!Position OverviewThe Health Benefits Strategist is responsible for the development and execution of a comprehensive health benefits strategy that balances the needs of employees for a superior health benefits package with the needs of the company to minimize benefit costsKey ResponsibilitiesLeadership:Provide leadership and mentorship to Health & Welfare team Partner with the Senior Director, Rewards in developing a cost-effective and attractive health & welfare strategy that enhances the employee experienceManage effective teams and work groups Drive measurable results in building and improving upon the employee experience to include a comprehensive health & welfare frameworkEstablish key metrics and evaluation to measure the impact of Health & Welfare, including any return on investment on wellness programBuild organizational capacity to effectively execute strategic and organizational priorities throughout the enterpriseContinuously improve and analyze current practices, processes, standards, and issues and evaluate opportunities to leverage synergies or enhance consistencies/efficienciesDesign a multi-year roadmap for Health & Welfare for both management and unionized workforcesPartner with Labor Relations on developing a Health & Welfare program that incentives long- and short-term cost savingsHealth & Welfare StrategyEvaluate and participate in the analysis and development of Health & Welfare and Wellness programs--Understand cost drivers of the health benefits package and the tools and methods are available for cost mitigationGuide decision-making about when and how to deliver benefit services to employeesDrive initiatives aimed at improving the value of the benefit programs as measured by employee appreciation and reduced costsDeliver competitive and compelling benefits offerings that are tailored to the needs of different locations and different employee groups such as contract and managementWorking with Rewards and Talent & Development teams, develop and lead corporate wellness initiatives, with the aim of encouraging employees to lead a healthy lifestyle and in the long term contain increasing health care costsDevelop and design Health & Welfare plans that are approved by the Prepaid CouncilExecute on new Health & Welfare strategies Vendor ManagementMonitor vendor performance and hold vendors accountable to excellent service via the development of robust SLAsProvide meaningful controls around benefits costs through focused cost savings opportunities with vendors, active contract management and oversight of forecasting, invoicing and billing for the millions-dollar benefits budgetDrive premium renewal negotiations; work with the broker to interpret and analyze participation, utilization and claims information, incorporating findings into future benefits design and company financial planning processContinuous Improvement Drive continuous improvement in benefits operations and processes working closely with partners in HR to optimize process design and improve employee communicationsEmploy continuous improvement methodology to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient processesDrive seamless and reliable execution and implementation of benefits changes, including project management large-scale and/or high-profile projects such as the implementation of new labor agreements or vendor contractsInnovation:Review and benchmark the internal and external environment to improve the HR policies and initiatives to enhance overall business performanceIdentify and drive the Health & Welfare programs through changing environmentsResearch and analyze evidence Develop and design alternatives to traditional Health & Welfare plans that are cost-effective and meaningful for employeesCultural Expectations and BehaviorsChoose to learn, understand and drive towards our company purpose ?
