Supported by our modern, state-of-the-art facility and advanced diagnostic equipment including ultrasound, endoscopy, digital radiography, CT scan, MRI, fluoroscopy, and in-house laboratory, we offer the most comprehensive and progressive patient care on the Hawaiian Islands.About the job: As a technician in the Emergency department, you will be responsible for:Triaging incoming patients and managing clients throughout their visitPartnering with DVMs in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and proceduresObtaining and processing laboratory samples such as blood, urine, free fluid, and fine needle aspiratesUtilizing different modalities of imaging for patient assessmentExecuting, monitoring, and recovering all assigned sedation and anesthetic eventsOperating patient monitoring, laboratory, radiographic and anesthetic equipmentAbout You:2 years experience as a veterinary assistant/technician in a progressive general practice and/or 1 year in a specialty practicePossess technical credibility related to emergency veterinary medicineMust be proficient at adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing as well as computing rate, ratio and percent to accurately calculate volumes and rates of medications and other treatmentsDemonstrate analytic abilities to identify problems and analyze potential solutions by weighing relevance and accuracy of informationSuccessful in working in a highly collaborative environment and committed to developing long term relationships with colleagues, clients and communityMaintain a positive outlook and ability to work well in a busy environmentExcellent communication and organizational skillsAbility to deliver exceptional client serviceAdaptable and resilient in the face of change Benefits- Compensation is based on experience and skill level.
