    Purpose
    Cares for residents and fosters the highest degree of quality care. Escorts residents to scheduled appointments and performs shopping services as needed. The position is Full Time (40 hrs. per week) from 8am to 4pm working any day of the week including weekends as needed by the supervisor at our Arcadia Retirement Residence location.
    Essential Functions
    • Assists in fulfilling service requests as needed.
      • Under the direction of the Director of CNA Services (ARR), CNA Manager, Clinic Manager and Clinic Nurses (15C), performs shopping and purchasing functions for residents and staff when needed.
        • Perform escort service for residents as assigned.
          • Perform courier services as assigned.
            • Operate the company car during the performance of assigned duties.
              • Perform CNA duties for IL/AL residents and HCC residents as assigned
                • Answers call lights to determine residents' or participants' needs
                  • Assists residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as:
                    • Bathing
                      • Eating; which includes set-up, serving and collecting food plates and utensils,
                        • Feeding residents who require assistance;
                          • Dressing;
                            • Oral hygiene; and
                              • Grooming as needed.
                                • Assistance with toileting and provides appropriate peri care for incontinent residents.
                                  • Assists residents to turn, reposition, and transfer, which may be performed by the CNA without assistance, with a two-person assistance, or by using a lift machine in accordance with the care plan.
                                    • Transports residents with ambulation to and from their room to appropriate areas for activities and meals.
                                      • Takes and records the resident's:
                                        • ADLs
                                          • Vitals (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, weight, and respiration rates)
                                            • Intake and output of food and fluid
                                              • Transfers (one or two person) and ambulation status
                                                • Mood/behaviors when resistant to care
                                                  • Pain level assessment (if applicable)
                                                    • Provides companion services according to care plan.
                                                      • Performs restorative care services for residents in HCC to include range of motion exercises, ambulation and sit to stand exercises as assigned.
                                                        • Observes and reports to Licensed Staff all changes in condition (including significant changes), behavior or whereabouts that may require intervention.
                                                          • Monitors and supervises residents as assigned.
                                                            • Records all chargeable time provided by Arcadia Family of Companies (AFC).
                                                              • Works in conjunction with the interdisciplinary team, licensed staff, team members, and other departments to ensure resident assessments are completed in accordance with corporate, federal, and state Regulations and safety guidelines.
                                                                • Adheres to assigned work schedules and accurately uses the time and attendance system, which may include using a computer or personal cell phone.
                                                                  • Participates in Continuous Quality Improvement and/or Quality Assurance Programs.
                                                                    • Interacts with residents, clients, and patients in accordance with AFC's mission and core values.
                                                                      • Exercises caution and good safety judgment in uncertain conditions or situations, and report and/or correct hazards, potential or actual.
                                                                        • Ensures that all residents' rights and privacy are protected and enforced, are and establishes and maintains a close liaison with residents and families.
                                                                          • Attends mandatory in-service programs.
                                                                            • Complies with annual employee health screening in accordance with policies and procedures.
                                                                              • Participates and assists during emergency drills and situations such as fire, fire alarms, hurricanes, and other possible emergencies as outlined in the Disaster Response Playbook.
                                                                                • Other duties as assigned by the Arcadia Family of Companies.

                                                                                  Education and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
                                                                                  Certificates, Licenses, and RegistrationsCurrent State of Hawaii Certified Nurse Aide certificate. Current First Aid and CPR certificate. Current, valid State of Hawaii Driver's License and clear driver's abstract.

                                                                                                  • Ability to write more complex documents (detailed correspondence, instructions)Computer SkillsProficiency in using a computer, which may include using such software as Vision or Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) and other applicable software applications.
