Job Description:

I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
--- - Performs a variety of mammography procedures related to the breast. -
--- - - Provides patient care during procedures.

II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
--- - Required: - finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking. -
--- - Frequent: - standing, walking, stooping/bending, reaching above, at and below shoulders; repetitive arm/hand motion, and twisting body. -
--- - Occasional: sitting, lifting, pushing/pulling usual weight of 50 pounds; and carrying items up to 10 pounds, and static gripping of objects (paddles, etc).

III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
--- - Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
--- - Subjected to noise/vibration from radiographic equipment noise.
--- - Exposure to body fluids, communicable diseases, moving mechanical parts, chemicals, radiation odors and skin irritants.
--- - Work environments are fast paced, frequently stressful; works on multiple tasks and priorities at the same time and requires critical decision making.

IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
--- - Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T) and Hawaii State licenses as a Radiologic Technologist.
--- - Current A.R.R.T. license in Mammography. If not licensed in Mammography, licensure must be obtained within one (1) year of entrance into the position.
--- - Current BLS/HCP certification.

B. EXPERIENCE:
--- - Two (2) years' experience as a Radiologic Technologist with successful completion of an A.R.R.T. approved Mammography training course; or current certification in Mammography by A.R.R.T. may be substituted for the experience requirement.
--- - Prior Mammography Technologist experience preferred.
