Job Description:
Job Summary:This position is part of the Integrated Behavioral
Health department and follows its regional policies and procedures.
It is designed to provide advanced training and clinical
supervision to master's level trained mental health professional to
meet the requirements for clinical supervision hours needed to be
eligible to obtain a clinical license. Under supervision of a
Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage Family
Therapist, or a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, provides mental
health and/or addiction triage, assessment, diagnosis, treatment,
and crisis intervention services for adult and/or child members who
present themselves for evaluation with a broad range of psychiatric
or addiction related mental health needs. Under supervision, may
collaborate with treating primary care providers and with
psychiatric, addiction medicine, and allied health professional
team members to plan and direct each individual patient's treatment
program.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Under the supervision of a Licensed Clinical Social Worker,
Licensed Marriage Family Therapist or a Licensed Mental Health
Counselor provides individual, family and group psychotherapy to
members needing mental health or addictions care.
- Under the supervision of a Licensed Clinical Social Worker,
Licensed Marriage Family Therapist or a Licensed Mental Health
Counselor provides triage, assessment, and crisis intervention to
members needing mental health or addictions care.
- Under the supervision of a Licensed Clinical Social Worker,
Licensed Marriage Family Therapist, or a Licensed Mental Health
Counselor, develops, implements, coordinates, and evaluates
clinical treatment programs for the diagnosis, treatment, care
coordination and/or referral of Health Plan members with acute or
chronic mental health or addiction illness.
- Actively participates in assigned clinical supervision
including individual supervision, group supervision, and case
conference/group session.
- Attends workshops and regional seminars on a regular basis as
part of the training.
- Participates in staff meetings, case conferences, and other
staff functions. Facilitates community outreach and community
referrals as needed.
- Prepares intake summaries, treatment plans, and case summaries
and maintains ongoing confidential records.
- Charts members treatment and progress in accord with Kaiser
Permanente, state and NCQA regulations and in keeping with accepted
community standards.
- Complies with regional and local policies and procedures.
- Complies with the Code of Ethics and state law pertaining to
the delivery of mental health services.
- Performs other duties as assigned.Basic
Qualifications:Experience
- Successful completion of internships or practicum in mental
health setting during a masters degree program or previous work
experience in mental health setting.Education
- Masters Degree in a social work (or Social Welfare from a
clinical track), or masters degree in clinical or counseling
psychology, or Masters degree in Marriage & Family Therapy, or
allied field related to the practice of mental health counseling
from an accredited college or university by start date.License,
Certification, Registration
- Mental Health Counselor License (Hawaii) within 36 months of
hire OR Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Hawaii) within 36 months
of hire OR Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (Hawaii) within
36 months of hire
- Basic Life Support required at hire from American Heart
AssociationAdditional Requirements:
- Once hired as an Associate, an employee will be offered and
must work a schedule that would accumulate at least half the
required supervisory hours annually.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Professional maturity and ethical integrity necessary for
assuming professional responsibilities.
- Commitment to quality of service, teamwork, and participation
in a highly interactive multidisciplinary clinic.
- Ability to complete multiple tasks/objectives in a timely
manner.Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience and/or training in Clinical Case Management,
preferred.
- Experience and/or training in group therapy, preferred.
- Knowledge and experience in using the latest Diagnostic and
Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills,
