Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: LDRP - Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum - Discipline: RN - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights, rotating - Employment Type: Travel Now Hiring: Labor & Delivery RN | Waimea, HI (Kauai) Start Date: July 14, 2025 Shifts: Rotating (Must be willing to work all shifts; nights preferred) Estimated Weekly Gross: ~$2,700 depending on experience Looking to bring your full-scope OB experience to paradise? This is a unique opportunity to work on the beautiful island of Kauai, Hawaii, at a critical access hospital providing compassionate care across all perinatal settings. Position Overview: Join a close-knit 5-bed OB unit providing care in: - Antepartum - Labor and Delivery - Postpartum - Nursery - Outpatient Testing This is a comprehensive hands-on role covering the full spectrum of OB services. Candidates must be confident working independently and handling high-risk cases in a rural setting. Must-Have Experience & Skills: ?? Please do not apply unless you meet all of the following requirements – no exceptions. - 2 years of recent experience in: - Labor & Delivery - Postpartum / Couplet Care - Nursery (including phototherapy & special care) - Proficient in: - Fetal monitoring & interpretation - Labor support, C-section recovery, and postpartum management - Starting adult/neonatal IVs, resuscitating newborns, and PKU screening - Administering/titrating Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, Insulin drips - Supporting anesthesia during epidural/intrathecal procedures - Monitoring PCA, IUPC, internal fetal monitoring, amnioinfusion - Assisting with external cephalic versions (ECV) - Must be comfortable floating to other units as needed Required Certifications: - BLS - ACLS - NRP - STABLE - Fetal Monitoring (FM certification) Equipment Used on Unit: - Avalon fetal monitors, PYXIS - Ohmeda Infant Warmer, Neopuff, Neoblue & Bilibed - SCD machines, OUR 365 (newborn photos), Echoscreen - Adult & neonatal crash carts - Paper charting environment Important Notes: - Must be available to work any shift (nights preferred) - Start date is fixed at 7:00 AM on July 14, 2025 – please do not apply if you cannot commit to this time - Interviews and offers will be made quickly – be prepared!
