Job Title: Cardiovascular Technologist Profession: Diagnostic Imaging Specialty: Cardiovascular Technologist Duration: Full Time Shift: Varies Hours per Shift: Guaranteed hours not specified Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Registered by ARDMS in Abdomen and OB/GYN sonography Certifications: Current BLS/HCP certification required Must-Have: Graduate of a CAAHEP approved school of Ultrasound Technology or equivalent program. Registered Radiologic Technologist with two years supervised work/training in diagnostic ultrasound preferred. Must obtain additional certification within twenty-four months if initially registered in one certification upon hire. Description: Prepares and performs ultrasound examinations on patients. Collaborates with physicians on examinations. Essential physical demands include walking, twisting, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking, and repetitive arm/hand motions. Requires static gripping of an object for prolonged periods and frequent gripping. Continuous physical demands include sitting and reaching below shoulder level. Frequent physical demands include standing, stooping/bending, and pushing/pulling a maximum weight of 50 pounds. Occasional physical demands include climbing stairs, squatting, and lifting/carrying weight of 10 to 20 pounds. Operates ultrasound equipment and computer systems. Must be able to adjust schedule for on-call coverage, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
