Job Description Distinctive Home & Health Care is a leading provider of healthcare to serve military installations across the United States. Our team of professionals is dedicated to providing the highest quality of service and support for each one of our clients. Distinctive Healthcare is currently seeking to hire a full time Clinical Nurse Family Health at Hickam AFB in Hawaii. Minimum Qualifications: - Degree: Associates Degree of Nursing. - Education: Graduate from a college or university accredited by National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC), or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). - Experience: A minimum of 3 years for ADN or 3 years for BSN full-time experience in clinical nursing working with adults, children, families, seniors and groups. (Those with less than 3 years experience will still be considered.) Nurses with familiarity with the Military Healthcare System and Electronic Health Record is desirable. Nurses with work experience with Tri-care, CHCS, Military Health System Genesis systems preferred. - Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse as required in the TO. - Certification. Certified Registered Nurse by Commission for American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) -OR- certification eligible with 3 years of experience for ADN or 2 years of experience for BSN in full time clinical nursing with children, families, seniors, or groups. Life Support Certification: At a minimum, the HCW must maintain current certification in either the American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) (Course C) or the American Red Cross CPR/BLS Course. In addition, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PAL3S) 7 and Neonatal Resuscitation Course (NRC) - certifications shall be as required Core Duties: - Coordinate patient care in collaboration with a wide array of healthcare professionals. Facilitate the achievement of optimal outcomes in relation to clinical care, quality and cost effectiveness. - Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the MTF. - Perform physical exam and health histories. - Provide health promotions, counseling, and education. - Administer medications, wound care, and numerous other personalized interventions. - Direct and supervise care provide by other healthcare professionals. - Accountable for making patient care assignments based on the scope of practice and skill level of assigned personnel. - Recognize adverse signs and symptoms and quickly react in emergency situations. - Communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people for the purpose of informing the healthcare team of plans/actions, for teaching/education to benefit the patient/family and organization. - Make referral appointments and arrange specialty care as appropriate. - Perform nursing services identified in the TO. - Conduct research in support of improved practice and patient outcomes.
