Job Description:
- Performs clinical diagnostic Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
and related procedures for image production. - Provides patient
care and ensures patient safety during MRI procedures. - Operates
MRI equipment and maintains knowledge of MRI safety, including
working in magnetic fields and handling cryogens. - Utilizes
knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and computer
systems. - Adheres to safety protocols and maintains compliance
with certification and licensure requirements (ARRT MRI, BLS/HCP).
- Handles physical demands such as lifting/carrying (up to 30 lbs),
pushing/pulling (up to 50 lbs), and repetitive movements. - Adjusts
schedule for on-call coverage, including evenings, nights,
weekends, and holidays. - Works in an environment with noise from
MRI machines and exposure to magnetic fields, with minimal exposure
to cryogens. - Requires at least one year of experience as a
registered technologist using cross-sectional imaging techniques;
prior MRI experience preferred.
