Job Description:

AdaptHealth is seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist (RT) Vent Specialist to join our team in the provision of specialized home healthcare services. The RT Vent Specialist will focus primarily on patients requiring ventilator support, playing a crucial role in improving their quality of life in the comfort of their homes. At AdaptHealth, we ensure that our patients receive exceptional care tailored to their individual needs, facilitated by advanced medical equipment and supported by a compassionate team. Assess patient conditions by reviewing medical history and consulting with healthcare teams and families. Develop and implement effective respiratory therapy treatment plans for patients on ventilatory support. Operate and monitor respiratory equipment to ensure proper functioning and patient comfort. Educate patients and their families on the operation and maintenance of ventilatory equipment. Regularly visit patient homes to adjust treatment plans and equipment settings as required. Keep detailed patient records documenting all treatments, adjustments, and progress. Stay updated with the latest respiratory care techniques and safety protocols to enhance care quality. Proficient in the use of ventilators and other respiratory care equipment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently in a home care setting. Empathetic and patient-focused. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Current state Respiratory Therapist Licensure (RRT or CRT). Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
