Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Job Type: Contract Position Urgency: Normal Specialty: Nursing Sub-Specialties: Progressive Care / Telemetry Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to support a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Hawaii. This role requires flexibility, strong clinical skills, and the ability to float to Medical-Surgical units as needed. Ideal candidates are adaptable, team-oriented, and comfortable working rotating schedules, including consecutive weekends. Responsibilities - Provide high-quality nursing care to PCU/Telemetry patients - Monitor and manage patients requiring intermediate-level care - Accurately document patient care using Cerner EMR - Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams - Float to Medical-Surgical units during low census or low acuity periods as needed - Maintain patient safety and adhere to all clinical standards and protocols Requirements - Active and unrestricted Hawaii RN license prior to contract start - Minimum 4 years of RN experience - Ability to work consecutive weekends as required - Flexibility to work rotating 12-hour shifts - Current BLS and ACLS certifications required - Additional certifications such as PALS, NRP, or others preferred Additional Details - Contract assignment - Holiday coverage required (holiday rate applies only if the shift begins on the holiday) - Floating required based on unit needs - EMR system: Cerner Only applicants who meet the minimum qualifications and possess the required certifications are eligible to apply.
