ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Honolulu, Hawaii. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - MICU Job Details: • Work rotating shifts with 36 hours per week for a 16-week contract • Provide critical care for adults and adolescents over 12 years old • Care for patients with conditions including post Code Blue, respiratory failure, GI bleeding, diabetic emergencies, acute renal failure, sepsis, and overdoses • Manage transplant-ready patients, pulmonary artery hypertension, and high-dose Interleukin-2 therapy • Float between ICU, Stepdown, and Telemetry units based on facility needs • Graduate of an accredited nursing program required, BSN preferred • Active, unencumbered Hawaii RN license required • Current BLS/HCP, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required • CPI (or equivalent) preferred • Specialty certification (CCRN) highly desired • Must pass EKG exam with 80% or better during orientation • Two or more years of full-time staff RN experience in a Medical ICU at a Level I Trauma Center required • CRRT experience highly desired • EPIC EMR experience required • Compliance must be completed no later than 10 days prior to contract start date • Requested Time Off (RTO) not permitted during initial contract period Facility: This healthcare facility features a 19-bed Medical Intensive Care Unit with all private rooms, including 4 isolation rooms, operating 24/7 with full intensivist coverage. The facility provides comprehensive critical care services and serves as a Level I Trauma Center, offering advanced medical care for complex conditions. The unit handles a wide range of critical care cases including respiratory failure, multi-system organ failure, and specialized treatments, while also accommodating overflow patients from surgical, neuroscience, cardiac ICU, and telemetry units.
