We are seeking a board-certified General Surgeon for a locum tenens assignment in Hawaii starting Feb 21, 2026. This 12-day opportunity offers exclusive weekend call coverage with 24/7 shifts, morning rounding, and no clinic duties. Ideal for experienced surgeons seeking a focused on-call schedule in a dynamic hospital setting. Job Details - Location: Hawaii - Start Date: Feb 21, 2026 - LOA: 12 days - Provider Type Needed: General Surgeon - Schedule: Weekend call only; 24-hour shifts from 7am to 7am on the following dates: Feb 21-23, Feb 28-Mar 2, Mar 14-16, Apr 11-13 - EMR: Cerner Responsibilities and Duties - Provide 24/7 general surgery coverage during scheduled weekends - Perform morning rounds on patients - Respond to surgical consults and emergencies as required - No clinic duties required Additional Information - Board certification in General Surgery required - Must possess an active Hawaii medical license - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required - Candidates must be fully credentialed (allow for a 4-month credentialing process) - Experience with Cerner EMR preferred Benefits - Strong compensation - Travel-related expenses covered - A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided - Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
