Job Description:
Sonic Healthcare, a leader in global healthcare services, is
seeking a dedicated Laboratory Assistant for the evening shift
within our Laboratory Services department. This role is pivotal in
providing vital support for our diagnostic testing processes and
ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. The Laboratory
Assistant will work under the supervision of lab managers and
alongside experienced technicians to prepare and process specimens,
maintain lab equipment, and accurately record data. Ideal
candidates will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational
skills, and a commitment to healthcare excellence. This position

where professional growth is encouraged. Prepare and sort specimens
for testing and analysis. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment
following standard procedures. Ensure compliance with healthcare
regulations and safety standards. Record and input accurate data
into the laboratory information system. Collaborate with lab staff
to resolve issues and improve efficiency. Stock and manage lab
supplies, ensuring availability and cleanliness. Proficiency in
using laboratory information systems Ability to follow complex
instructions High attention to detail and accuracy Good manual
dexterity and visual acuity Strong organizational and communication
skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Certified
Laboratory Assistant (CLA) certification preferred Compliance with
local, state, and federal health and safety regulations through
training and certification
