Local Contract Registered Nurse (RN) – TelemetryJob Summary The
Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry provides specialized nursing care
to patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring. The RN
assesses, monitors, and manages patients with cardiac conditions
while collaborating with physicians and the healthcare team to
ensure high-quality patient care. Key Responsibilities - Monitor
and interpret cardiac rhythms using telemetry equipment. - Assess
patients’ vital signs, cardiac status, and overall condition. -
Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as prescribed. -
Respond promptly to changes in heart rhythms or patient condition.
- Provide care for patients with cardiac, respiratory, or
post-surgical conditions. - Maintain accurate patient records and
documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR). - Collaborate
with physicians, cardiologists, and multidisciplinary healthcare
teams. - Educate patients and families about cardiac care,
medications, and lifestyle changes. - Follow infection control and
patient safety protocols. - Participate in discharge planning and
patient education. Qualifications - Active Registered Nurse (RN)
license in Hawaii or compact license eligible for Hawaii
endorsement. - Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of
Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. - Basic Life Support (BLS)
certification required. - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
certification required. - 1–2 years of telemetry or acute care
experience preferred. Skills & Competencies - Strong cardiac
monitoring and rhythm interpretation skills - Ability to respond
quickly to cardiac emergencies - Excellent communication and
teamwork skills - Knowledge of telemetry equipment and cardiac care
