kitchen running smoothly by ensuring that work areas, food service
equipment, and utensils are consistently cleaned and organized. AFC
Workforce Center This position is part of the Workforce Center, a
dedicated team of employees who provide flexible staffing support
across multiple communities. Workforce Center employees help ensure
seamless coverage during vacations, extended leaves, and staffing
shortages. This role is assignment-based and training will be
provided. Shifts Available Call-In (Work less than 20 hours per
week) Minimum of 2 shifts per month; Day or Evening Shift Note:
Other assignments within our communities may become available.

Responsibilities Cleans, organizes, and sanitizes all food service
equipment, work surfaces, utensils, and all work areas including
refrigerators, dish machine, floors, mats and drains according to
cleaning schedule and infection control policies and procedures.
Maintains equipment temperature logs. Assists cooks with
preparation of meals as needed. Sets up and breaks down employee
meals. Segregates, sorts, removes trash and recyclables and
disposes them in designated containers. Maintains inventory on
chemicals (15 C). Exercises caution and good safety judgment in
uncertain conditions or situations, and reports and/or corrects
potential/actual hazards. Performs the necessary duties for
emergency drills and situations such as fire, fire alarms,
hurricanes, and other possible emergencies as outlined in the
Disaster Response Playbook. Interacts with residents/clients and
co-workers with patience, understanding and kindness in accordance
with ACS’s mission and core values. Qualifications To perform this
job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each

Education/Experience High school diploma or general education
degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or
training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills Basic skills and ability to learn as needed.
Physical Demands While performing the duties of this Job, the
employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The
employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to
finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee
must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision
abilities required by this job include close vision, distance
vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and
ability to adjust focus. Work Environment While performing their
essential functions, employees are occasionally exposed to the
