Located downstairs at Waikiki Market, our new local-style restaurant and bar will be a welcoming place to enjoy familiar comfort food, drinks and good times with friends.We are seeking *Lead Cooks* to join our Piko Kitchen + Bar team!The *Lead Cook* assists the Chef and Sous Chef carry out the daily needs of the establishment. While working on the line the lead cook has the authority over his/her staff which include cooks, prep cooks, and utility cooks. The lead cook would need to be knowledgeable about cooking techniques, procedures, systems operations, staffing strategies, as well as general kitchen guidelines. The lead cook oversees the kitchen when the chef and sous chef are not present. The lead cook will also handle some of the purveyor accounts.*Duties and Responsibilities:*The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:* Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.* Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sauteing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.* Ensure that all items are to spec, dated appropriately, packed, sealed, and labeled correctly.* Delegate daily responsibilities and assignments to employees, appropriate to their skills and ability.* Comply fully with all safety policies and procedures.*Qualifications:** High school education with some college backgroundpreferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.* Must have prior management experience in a culinary position in a high-volume food service establishment.* Knife and cooking skills required.* Must have recent TB Clearance.* Must comply with all company policies and requirements.*Benefits:*Competitive pay, flexible schedules, medical insurance, 401k retirement plan with a company match, advancement opportunities and more!To apply, please attach your resume via this posting._We are sorry that we will not be able to respond to all submissions.
