Job Description Job Description We are looking for positive, outgoing drivers to operate our fleet of commercial motor vehicles in Hawaii. The Charter and Tour Bus Driver will operate all commercial motor vehicles with Polynesian Adventure Tours for the purpose of transportation of passengers in compliance with all applicable laws and company standards. Essential Duties: Complies with all federal, state, and county rules and regulations, including but not limited to hours of service, current driver documents (driver’s license, medical certification, driver history, violation and review form) Conducts a daily pre-trip inspection of the assigned vehicle prior to leaving the yard. Ensures vehicle is in proper working order and has proper fluid levels. Ensures interior is clean and presentable with essential tools and sales material. Follows established schedule and route set forth by Operations. Greets and assists passengers while boarding and/or exiting the vehicle. Loads/unloads passenger baggage. Performs service to our ADA clients. Reports any mechanical defect, safety concerns, or vehicle damage to Maintenance and/or Dispatch. Reports any bodily injury of self or passenger, accidents, or incidents immediately to Dispatch. Perform other job-related functions as assigned. Conducts a post-trip inspection of the vehicle, completes DVIR booklet, delivers Maintenance copy to appropriate collection site. Completes all other required paperwork. Must always be in uniform as per Employee Handbook. Must always have all credentials, driver’s license, medical certificate, airport and harbor badges and any other that may be required. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience, knowledge, and skills required: Must be at least 21 years of age and provide a current driver history record. Possession of a valid CDL B license with passenger and air brake endorsements required. One year of commercial driving experience is preferred but not required. Have the Aloha Spirit and a desire to share knowledge of our island home Friendly, outgoing, and engaging personality Possesses good customer service skills while servicing visitors. Ability to use good judgment and decision-making while handling multiple situations. Ability to work independently without supervision. Possesses a sense of humor. Working conditions require sitting for extended periods of time, stand, climb stairs, walk long distances, bend, squat, push/pull as needed throughout the day. Physical demands may require lifting supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. Ability to clearly and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, employees, and the general public.
