team that is redefining and elevating the dining experience for
Hawaii’s kupuna. The Dining Services Supervisor leads the
front?of?the?house dining operations by coaching and supporting
Waitstaff, ensuring service standards are consistently met, and
fostering meaningful connections with residents, members, and
guests. This highly visible, resident?focused, hands-on role serves
as the daily ambassador of hospitality and service excellence
within the dining program. The Supervisor partners closely with the
Dining Services Manager and culinary leadership to translate dining
vision and standards into exceptional everyday experiences. Work
Schedule Full-Time Evening shift: 11:00am to closing (~8:30pm) on
Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday Flexibility to
assist with morning shift coverage (5:00am – 2:00pm) as needed
Compensation Annual Salary Range: $49,470 - $63,604
Responsibilities Front-of-House Operations and Service Excellence
Lead daily front-of-the-house operations to ensure a warm,
welcoming, smooth, and resident-centered service during all
assigned meal periods and events. Serve as the on?floor leader
during service, proactively addressing resident needs, service
flow, and real?time issues. Ensure dining rooms are prepared,
staffed, and presented to standard prior to service and restored
following service. Support execution of special events, themed
meals, private functions, and celebrations, ensuring service
reflects community standards. Resident, Member & Guest Experience
Build positive relationships with residents, members, clients and
guests through regular interaction, presence, and responsiveness.
Actively listen to resident feedback and concerns, providing
service recovery when needed and escalating trends to the Dining
Services Manager. Model respectful, dignified, and compassionate
service, especially when working with residents who have varying
physical or cognitive needs. Reinforce a culture where residents
feel known, welcomed, and valued. People Leadership & Development
(Waitstaff) Assist in leading the daily line up meetings (daily
huddles). Directly supervise Waitstaff, providing daily guidance,
coaching, and feedback to support high performance and teamwork.
Assist with hiring, on boarding, and training of Waitstaff,
emphasizing service etiquette and resident engagement. Conduct
regular check-ins, on-the-floor coaching, and support skill
development in service etiquette, communication, and problem
solving. Support performance management processes, including
documentation, corrective action, and collaboration with the Dining
Services Manager and HR as needed. Foster a positive, inclusive,
and respectful work environment that supports retention and
engagement. Training, Standards & Service Excellence Implement and
reinforce front-of-house service standards, procedures, and work
flows to ensure consistency. Lead or support in-service training
sessions focused on hospitality skills, customer service,
communication, and service recovery. Ensure new and existing staff
understand and demonstrate best practices for serving residents
with varying physical, cognitive, or dietary needs. Operations,
Scheduling & Coordination Coordinate and maintain Waitstaff
schedules to ensure appropriate coverage for meal periods, special
events, and special events. Ensure accurate meal counts,
point-of-sale entries, and charge inputs for meals, special
functions, and events. Monitor dining room readiness, cleanliness,
and ambiance before, during, and after service in partnership with
culinary and utility teams. Serve as the primary front-of-house
point person during assigned shifts, addressing operational issues
in real time. Maintain clear communication with back-of-house and
support teams during service. Safety, Compliance & Preparedness
Ensure compliance with corporate, state, and federal safety,
sanitation, and food service guidelines within the dining room.
Support and participate in emergency preparedness activities,
including drills and real-time response during emergencies. Promote
a safe, respectful, and inclusive work environment for staff and
residents. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an

(Required) One to two years related experience and/or training; or
equivalent combination of education and experience. (Required)

or hear; and taste or smell . The employee frequently is required
to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; push and pull . The

and/or move up to 50 pounds . Specific vision abilities required by
this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision,
peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
