Human Resource Generalist/Specialist

Job Description:

DRC, a local growing software development and IT consulting company with over 120 employees nationally, is currently seeking a qualified and experience Human Resource Generalist/Specialist to join its administrative team at its Honolulu headquarters. This individual will be responsible for the coordination and overall administration, evaluation, consolidation and coordination of human resource functions, and will report to the CFO. Qualified individual must be able to multitask and respond to requests in a timely manner. Individual should also possess the ability to clearly communicate issues and solutions.
Primary Duties include:

  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Coordinates career fairs and other recruiting events
  • Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Prepare and review compensation and benefits packages
  • Administer health and life insurance programs
  • Implement training and development plans
  • Plan probationary and annual performance review sessions
  • Inform employees about additional benefits they're eligible for (e.g extra vacation days)
  • Update employee records with new hire information and/or changes in employment status
  • Maintain organizational charts and detailed job descriptions along with salary records
  • Ensure recruitment process runs smoothly
  • Process employees' queries and respond in a timely manner
    --- Qualifications:
    • Bachelor degree or concentration in Human Resource welcomed.
    • Experience with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems.
    • Experience with most human resource functions preferred.
    • Must be able to use Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office suite
    • SHRM-CP a plus.
