technology? Mental Health Kokua (MHK) is seeking a reliable and
detail-oriented Programming and Support Technician to maintain,
troubleshoot, and support our IT systems and user operations. In
this critical role, you’ll ensure that MHK’s staff have the
technical tools and support needed to deliver high-quality
behavioral health services. You’ll assist with IT maintenance, user
support, system administration, and documentation—playing a vital
role in strengthening our infrastructure and daily operations.
Programming and Support Technician Responsibilities: - Technical
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and
network issues across multiple sites and user platforms. - System
Installation & Configuration: Set up new workstations, install
applications, and configure systems based on organizational needs.
- End-User Support: Assist staff with software usage, email,
printing, account access, and other IT-related functions. - Account
& Access Management: Manage user accounts, security credentials,
and role-based access across systems. - Maintenance & Inventory:
Monitor and maintain equipment, perform routine updates, and manage
inventory of IT assets. - Security: Implement antivirus and
security protocols to safeguard systems and user data. -
Documentation: Create how-to guides, track troubleshooting steps,
and document system configurations and procedures. - VOIP Phone
System Support: Assist with VOIP (Yealink & Polycom) system setup,
rebooting, testing, and user support. - Vendor Coordination: Liaise
with IT contractors, service vendors, and system integrators as
needed. - Administrative Support: Prepare IT-related memos,
maintain files, and support technology communications. Programming
and Support Technician Requirements: - Minimum: High school diploma
or equivalent and 2 years of experience in IT support, computer
systems, or technical troubleshooting - Preferred: Degree in
Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field -
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, VOIP systems
(Yealink/Polycom), cloud-based services, and health information
systems - Strong skills in user support, system documentation,
troubleshooting, and inventory tracking - Excellent communication,
organizational, and customer service skills - Must pass a criminal
background check and maintain current TB clearance (or TB X-ray),
valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and clean driving
abstract - Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, travel between locations,
and perform basic physical tasks (e.g., bending, climbing stairs,
