Job Description:
Cherokee Federal, a division of Cherokee Nation Businesses, is
seeking a skilled System Administrator to join our IT &
Cybersecurity team. In this role, you will manage and ensure the
smooth operation of our computer systems, servers, and network
connections in accordance with government regulations and our
strategic needs. This position is crucial for maintaining the
integrity and security of our data and infrastructure, which
support a wide array of federal services. Install, configure, and
support local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and
Internet systems or a segment of a network system. Monitor network
to ensure network availability to all system users and perform
necessary maintenance to support network availability. Maintain
network hardware and software, analyze problems, and monitor the
network to ensure its availability to users. Plan, coordinate, and
implement network security measures to protect data, software, and
hardware. Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of
computer systems and networks, and to coordinate computer network
access and use. Design, configure, and test computer hardware,
networking software, and operating system software. Strong
knowledge of computer hardware, systems, and software applications.
Experience with network security measures, firewall administration,
and network protocols. Expertise in installing, configuring, and
troubleshooting LAN and WAN. Ability to manage multiple projects
and tasks simultaneously. Strong problem-solving skills and
