We're looking for someone to join our team as a American Heart
Association Instructor - Basic Life who:
Provides Basic Life Support (BLS) course curriculum designed by
the American Heart Association to associates and community
organizations as required and/or requested. Organizes and provides
new instructor training and/or mentoring.
Essential Functions: Coordinates and facilitates Cardiopulmonary
Resuscitation (CPR) and/or Basic Life Support (BLS) training to
associates and community as required.
Recognizes age specific considerations to address the needs of
the population served.
Cleans equipment after each use. Conducts the contracted
American Heart Association course(s) according to the guidelines of
the American Heart Association.
Completes all paperwork after the course as required. Completes
all assigned training center duties such as processing of rosters,
printing of cards and spot skills checks. Verifies adequacy of
equipment (quantity and functionality).
Communicates any concerns or unusual incidents that may have
occurred during the class or client contact.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
You'll be successful with the following qualifications:
High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of
education/related experience: Preferred
One year experience in instructing classes: Preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor Certification: Required
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification: Required
