Description:--- Maintain business servers and network systems. Responsibilities include patch management, user, file and print administration, documentation, upgrading, migrations, and troubleshooting. Manage the coordination of projects and technologies between infrastructure design and server/application.--- The secondary function of the System Administrator will be to take support calls on the Support Desk when Network Support Technician staffing is insufficient to meet service level expectations. They will also serve as an escalation point for issues that cannot be resolved by Network Support Technicians.--- Associate's degree in IT or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience performing technical support in an IT environment. Must possess knowledge and experience in Microsoft Windows Server, RDS environments and one virtual hypervisor (VM, Hyper-V, XenServer) environment. Must possess knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems, server implementation, applications, networking, TCP/IP, computer desktop hardware, and local/network printing. Equivalent amount of education, experience and/or training will be considered.Top Skills Details:1. Troubleshooting and support skills; needs to be able to troubleshoot at the Tier I and Tier II level2. Flexible mindset; The environment is ever changing, flexibility will be necessary to help out where it's needed.3. Team player. Has to have great communication, ability to ask questions, ask people if he/she can step in and take some work away from others and always offer help. Must want to work in a support type of environment where everyone is helping each other out, running to and from client site, stepping in where needed.Additional Skills & Qualifications:Technical experience with Citrix Xenserver, VMware, HyperV - to reflect the customers' environmentsTypical day for a Tier II:

  • 60% Troubleshooting/Support- assign tickets, answer phones and help tickets, issues with users not being able to access emails, servers, answer customer questions about migrating applications or questions regarding their interest in 365, be able to explain those services, creating user accounts, on-boarding new customers, delete accounts, back up data, etc.
