- Employ psychological techniques for the treatment of traumatic
brain injury symptoms and psychological conditions.
- Provide patients with psychological and behavioral techniques
and strategies that help them manage and cope better with chronic
- Formulate diagnostic and treatment plans and recommendations
for treatment teams.
- Utilize experience with both psychological and medical aspects
of traumatic brain injury (TBI) for the treatment of associated
symptoms (e.g., headaches, insomnia) and comorbid psychological
conditions (e.g., PTSD, Adjustment Disorder).

Conditions of Employment
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness
determination, as determined by a completed background
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of
Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must
provide a recognized exemption.
- A pre-placement medical examination is required.
- Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is
required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants
may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on

- Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support
(BLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) or
American Red Cross. Certifying organization varies on location.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify
for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements
Experience required: To qualify based on your experience, your
resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared
you to do the work in this job.
Specialized experience is defined as: providing consultation for
behavioral health patients, performing bio-psychosocial evaluations
on behavioral health patients and developing treatment plans for
patients with Traumatic Brain Injuries and/or Post-traumatic Stress
Disorder. This definition of specialized experience is typical of
work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the
federal service (GS-12).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the
required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must
meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no
substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Licensure Requirement: A current, active, valid, and
unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently
offered by a U.S. State, the District of Columbia, Commonwealth,
territory, or jurisdiction is required.

foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification
requirements, you must show the education credentials have been
evaluated by a private organization that specializes in
interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has
