MARINE ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN (TWRPEARL-21-0538-W)
Bowhead Marine Support Services seeks applicants for Electrical
/ Electronics Technician (ET) to support fleet maintenance,
operations and vessel support services at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
Bowhead Marine will be responsible for maintaining Government
furnished equipment and various watercraft associated equipment.
Monitoring and adjustment for approximately 3 Torpedo Retrieval
Vessels, including night time underway. Position is located in
Naval Submarine Support Command (NSSC) Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
The ET will assist Boat Engineers with repairs and preventative
maintenance and be responsible for shipboard wiring, control
panels, power distribution and other electrical maintenance.
Individual should be experienced in: Magnetic Compass, Gyro
Compass, GPS Receiver, Radar, UHF/VHF/FM Marine Transceivers,
Navigation Display Unit and any other Communication and Navigation
- Maintains electrical/electronic systems on waterborne vessels
per task order specifications.
- Installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and tests marine electronic
systems, normally aboard vessels, but may include land based or

fire-fighting and emergency equipment, as assigned.
- Comprehends complex Navy and vendor drawings, manuals and
specifications of installed electrical/electronic equipment and

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Seeking a minimum of three (3) years' experience as a Marine
Mechanic specializing in electrical/electronic repair in an active
- Basic computer knowledge required plus experience with database
software; internet software; spreadsheet software, word processing
software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to establish and
maintain effective working relationships; excellent written/verbal
communication skills required.
- Current Security Clearance or the ability to successfully
obtain a Security Clearance required.
- Ability to access and successfully maintain access to
government / military installations is a requirement of this
- Electronics training from the military considered a plus.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
