Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Responsibilities You will assist in the identification of required function and personnel for which security clearances are required. You will coordinate and conduct surveys for the establishment or revalidation of classified work and storage areas. You will advise and coordinate policy enforcement of formulation and oversight of the control, marking, storage, classification, transmission, destruction, printing, and reproductions' of classified information. You will be responsible for the security of classified and sensitive unclassified information that is processed, stored, or transmitted on the Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNET) and Non-Secret (NIPRNET). You will perform general administrative functions, to include preparing and typing office correspondence and generating security reports. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Ability to successfully navigate basic functions of the Defense Information System for Security (DISS): Add/drop, access, debrief, reports, user management, tasks. 2) Ability to successfully navigate basic functions of the Electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing (e-QIP): Initiate, review, add attachments, release. 3) Ability to research readily available references to fully articulate policy regarding Classified and Controlled Unclassified Information's protection, storage, and transmission. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Additional Information This position is eligible for part time, full time or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
