an on-call Housing Associate. The Housing Associate's primary
responsibility is to ensure the safety and security of clients and
employees at the Next Step Shelter and Family Assessment Center.
The secondary responsibility is to engage clients, develop
professional rapport to facilitate compliance with shelter rules,
and responsibilities at Next Step Shelter. Duties include but are
not limited to:
- Ensuring the safety & security of clients, staff, and
- Monitoring inside and outside the shelter property
- Deescalate aggressive and/or mentally unstable clients.

abuse issues, mental illness or at times both (dual

- High school diploma or GED required. Experience working in a
homeless shelter setting or related field preferred.
- Must be able to work flexible hours (day, evening, overnight)
any day throughout the weekday and/or weekend.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and have basic computer
