an Eq Provide leadership to mathematics item development teams
throughout the entire item development processProvide assessment
expertise in item and test development planning and customer
interactionsReview and develop schedules to accommodate multiple
tasksFacilitate various client committee meetings (content review,
data review, etc.) and provide content expertise during those
sessionsInterpret standards to create both test blueprints and item
development plansDevelop item and test specifications
documentsDevelop and provide training and feedback to item writers
based on established standards, cognitive complexity, and best
practices for item developmentSelect, assign, and manage
subcontracted item and content developmentLead, develop, and review
math test items and scoring materials, including selected-response,
technology-enhanced, and constructed response items for various
types of assessmentsWork as a member of a team to develop, review,
and revise ancillary materialsClassify test items according to
pre-specified content dimensions and ensure the accuracy of item
content-coding, keying, and item validationsProvide source
references and copyright research, if neededFacilitate activities
related to test construction and review of composed test formsWork
closely with test development managers, other content developers,
psychometricians, and other Pearson groupsConsult with the client
as required, including participation in planning, status, review
meetings, etc.Some travel may be requiredPerform other duties as
assignedThe anticipated starting salary range for Colorado-based
individuals expressing interest in this position is at least $70k.

apply.QualificationsBachelor's degree in education, mathematics or
equivalent degree requiredAt least five years' teaching experience
in the field of mathematics requiredAt least three years'
experience in large-scale educational measurementProfessional
knowledge of mathematics requiredOutstanding oral and written
communication skillsExperience leading assessment programsGeneral
knowledge of all phases of the development, processing, scoring,
and reporting of large-scale assessmentsSkill in identifying
problems and providing solutions to a variety of audiences
required---Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving
skills and ability to coordinate multiple activities and adapt to
unexpected events requiredSkill in evaluating and providing input
on project schedules and process documents requiredBroad knowledge
of common software programs, strong technology skills, and the
confidence necessary to work with unfamiliar programs requiredJob:
